The donations to the Candace Wesolowski Memorial Scholarship is our way of keeping the memory of Candace with us. Never to be forgotten. Please Don’t drink and Drive.

Let’s make a difference for Candace - Don’t drink & drive.

January 2024

Dear Friends,

My precious daughter, Candace, was killed by drunk drivers. On December 26, 1999, she lost her life while walking on the street. It’s been so long, yet the one thing I can do so that people never forget the dangers of drinking and driving is give a scholarship in her name. As long as there are deaths due to drinking and driving, I will continue to bring awareness to this senseless crime. This scholarship will be open to all high school students graduating and continuing their education.

We had golf events and social media fundraisers since 2004 and have been overwhelmed with the generosity of family, friends and total strangers.  We have awarded over $50,000 in scholarships over 17 years in Candace’s name

The fundraiser in honor of the Candace Wesolowski Memorial Scholarship enables us to continue to award these scholarships. We feel the answers for safety on the the roads are education, community service and good morals.

Please help us to continue to carry out our tradition.

The Latin + Disco Party Fundraiser April 21st, 2024

Candace Wesolowski was a beloved daughter of Lorraine and Michael Wesolowski. Born on March 25, 1981, she touched the lives of many during her time with us. Her journey was cut short when she was called home on December 26, 1999. Candace’s legacy continues to inspire those who knew her, highlighting the importance of love, kindness, and the impact one individual can have on others. Through the memories shared by family and friends, her spirit remains alive in the hearts of many.

Where the Feathers Falls Concert

Hosted by the Whispers Center for Artistic Expression and directed by Margaret Skrzypkowski, the concert was excellent. I can't thank Margaret enough for honoring our Heavenly daughters, Candace and Monika, by song and dance. My children and I were so touched by this depiction of Candace, it really took our breath away. Loved it! Thank you to the Skrzypkowski family. This was truly a gift to us.

2023 Day of the Dead Chicago

We participated in this old tradition, honoring the dead with song and dance and food. It is not a time to be sad, but to remember our loved ones as they were, here with us. Candace is our Heavenly Angel. The moments in her life that we remember are dear to our hearts. Thank you to my family, friends, and friends that never even know her, for joining us. God Bless.
